With this fun and interactive workshop, we will teach educators about the fascinating practice of shadow puppetry. We will tell a brief history about shadow puppetry throughout the ages, and will then demonstrate different budget friend methods to create puppets and a shadow puppet theater for the classroom. In small groups, educators will choose a story, create puppets and perform the show, learning how to use this method to teach the science of light and shadow play as well as the pre-literacy skills of narration and story sequence.
