The obesity crisis in our country is not only affecting adults but children as well. In this course we will investigate how this impacts school-age children and what those working in after school programs can do to help. We will discuss the data surrounding this issue, repercussions later in life, and what educators can do in their classrooms and communities to foster a healthy lifestyle for the children they work with.
