Learning to write starts way before a child puts a pencil to paper. In this workshop participants will embrace the power of mark making and learn how to support children in the early stages of writing development. During this workshop participants will: • Explore the mechanics of writing for young children. • Learn ways to strengthen fine motor skills without pencil and paper techniques. • Explore the process of writing including- • Using provocations as writing props • How to use story workshops (created by the Opal School) in their classroom environment. • How to use story plays (for younger children) to promote storytelling.
