Part 1: In the first section of the training we explore what makes up a fairy tale. This includes the history of fairy tales, common elements across them, and we also look into the whether or not fairy tales are too scary for children. Part 2: The next section of the training will provide participants with the basics of fairy tales and the importance of oral storytelling. We will also explore ways to be a better storyteller, how to increase vocabulary and enhance story structure. Part 3: The final section of the training will look at the ways fairy tale stories can support child development across the domains. We will also explore cognitive development and language development along with some lesson plans to use in the classroom.
