Part 1: In this section we will discuss supporting healthy eating, responsibilities of child care professionals, food safety, and food handling. Part 2: Here we will discuss learning about nutrition, tips to encourage good attitudes and eating habits, beverages and planning meals and snacks. Part 3: This last section covers frequency of meals and snacks, vitamin c, vitamin a, breakfast, lunches, dinners, nutrition guidelines, special dietary concerns, sample menus, and family style dining. Assessment: There are quizzes throughout the training to gauge students learning throughout. There is a pre-assessment at the beginning of the course that matches up with the end of course quiz as well. There are worksheet questions throughout the course that relate to the objectives and are reviewed by a trainer before a certificate is issued.
