Summary
Part 1: In the first section of the training we will address what dramatic play is and the basics of dramatic play. We also explore dramatic play for infants, benefits of this type of play, how to organize this center and provide a virtual tour of a dramatic play center. Part 2: The next section of the training will look at deciding on a theme, prior knowledge that can be used, how to introduce the center to children, the teacher's role and ways to support children's development while using this center. Part 3: The final section of the training provides lesson plan ideas revolving around dramatic play that are broken down into specific age groups. Assessment: Our courses provide multiple points of assessment that include discussion boards with prompted questions and interaction with trainers and other providers. We also include open-ended questions reviewed by trainers and multiple choice quizzes with a required passing score of at least 80% or higher.
