Part 1: In this section we will look at deaf culture and community, some myths versus facts, cultural influences on language, cultural norms, and protecting deaf culture. Part 2: Here we will discuss some basic signs, hand shapes, facial expressions and body language, signed alphabet, numbers, and color signs. Part 3: This last section discusses days of the week, family signs, food signs, animal signs, and various other common basic signs to use in the classroom. This final section also looks at where to begin with signing, signs by age, and using these for classroom management.
