Part 1: In this section we look at what sensory bins are, how they foster practical life skills, support social and language development, fine motor skill development and understanding of the senses. Part 2: Here we will look at choosing themes for sensory bins, choosing a base, some optional online resources, choosing a bin, coloring rice, choosing tools, extras to add and how to use the sensory bin. Part 3: This last section will include information about safety when using sensory bins, how to adapt to different ages, making the experience inviting, playing with the children, and some lesson plans to use to create your own sensory bins.
