This online course explores the importance of building relationships and creating supportive environments for children ages birth to five. Participants will learn how to nurture social emotional development through relationships with families, responsive caregiving strategies, and positive environments. The course also explores the social emotional teaching strategies for children ages birth to five including friendship skills, emotional literacy, and self-regulation. Participants will learn the importance of partnering with families and developing supportive environments. In conclusion, the course explores individualized intervention by determining the meaning of behavior and developing appropriate responses. Participants will review the form and function of communication including challenging behavior and how to develop a behavior support plan. This course has 21 lessons that must be taken in order.
