This online course will examine the role for home visiting professionals as it relates to ethics. We define the term ethics and several others that are directly aligned to this topic. The course will help the participant locate and use their professional code of ethics while identifying their personal and professional values when aligned to their agency purpose and mission. Confidentiality, privacy and privilege support the content while exercises offer practice applying ethical judgment. To round out the training, we identify aspects of personal and professional online presence, while identifying the benefits, challenges, and best practice guidelines for responsible use of social media and internet communications.
