This course describes eight senses, focusing mainly on the basic five of touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing. It touches on where each begins and how it develops. There are also some great activities for teaching about each one. Sensory processing disorder is introduced. A great form is provided for information gathering if you suspect a child in your care has sensory processing issues. There is a list of red flags to watch for as well. There is also some amazing input from mothers of children with sensory processing issues that would like to tell you about their children in order to help you understand this disorder a little better.
