Summary
This training is a six module series designed to equip the staffs of youth-serving organizations with the knowledge & tools they need to help youth heal from trauma & build social-emotional skills. It was created to shift organizations from awareness & into action surrounding trauma & adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). This course has been structured to service adolescents (12-18), however, the bulk of the content offered is broad enough in scope to profoundly benefit any youth-serving staff. The goal is to make this training easily accessible by offering both in-person lecture style trainings in addition to online sessions where both heavily rely upon interactive discussions & hands-on activities to sustain engagement. These include handouts, real-life simulations, icebreakers, as well as group clay creations. All interactive activities are delivered in an in-person lecture setting, and handouts will be made available both in lecture training as well as the online course.
