Summary
Child Abuse comes in many different shapes and forms, it can be categorized into four categories: physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. Educators spend large chunks of time with children in the community and may come across a child that shows signs of abuse, so it is important to understand what it is, what it looks like, how to recognize it, and how to help. This course will provide educators with knowledge about child abuse and empower them to feel confident in taking the next steps to intervene to lessen the harm and prevent future risk.
