In a large group, we will share our own family traditions and reflect on similarities and differences. Through lecture and interactive discussion, we will touch on the importance of incorporating the family traditions of our students, the impact on identity development and feelings of security that inclusion of culture has, and the ways we are connected through similarities and differences (including an awareness of stereotyping).
