This training/course helps educators learn the components of an active learning large-group time that incorporates shared control while scaffolding children’s developmental learning and curriculum content. Large-group times are adult-initiated activities during which all children and adults participate in action songs, cooperative games and projects, movement activities, storytelling, and more. This workshop will help educators transform large-group time into a fun and meaningful part of the daily routine. The training/course reflects specifically the HighScope Preschool Curriculum; however, any educator could take the course and effectively apply these strategies to their own curriculum and classroom needs.
