The HighScope Curriculum is a complete system of early childhood education focused on the eight dimensions of school readiness, identified by the National Education Goals Panel and widely accepted as the standard in the early childhood community, which include: • Approaches to learning • Social and emotional development • Physical development, health, and well-being • Language, literacy and communication • Mathematics • Creative Arts • Science and Technology • Social Studies Week 1 of the Preschool Curriculum Course (PCC) will include: Active Learning, Child Development, Introduction to Early Learning Goals/Key Developmental Indicators, the Learning Environment, the Daily Routine, Planning Time, Work Time, Recall Time, and Assessment.
