STEAM through Earth Science is designed to emphasize how teachers can foster scientific inquiry skills in their students with a focus on earth and life science explorations. The workshop starts in a large group with powerpoint and discussion highlighting scientific inquiry processes (observation, asking questions, hypothesizing, predicting, investigating, collecting data, making conclusions, sharing information) and related pre-K and K standards. This training is part of a grant that provides STEAM training to local head start agencies (the first group is expected in August and the second group in Spring). However, this training could be given to other providers for a cost.
