Summary
Teachers will be introduced to the whole child concept as it relates to the children in their care. Teachers will expand their knowledge of children’s development and learning. They will learn how to track children’s growth and development and how to implement strategies in their classrooms to individualize instruction to every child in their care. They will practice using tools that provide learning opportunities for children throughout their school day. They will learn how to partner with families to support their children’s growth and development at home, and practice using the tools to communicate with families. They will be knowledgeable of where to find support within their professional community. They will reflect on their current practice and share with other participants on topics of growth and development.
