Through this course, participants will understand challenging youth behavior, reflect on educator experiences, and implement strategies and solutions to promote positive behavior among young people. By the end of this course, participants will be able to understand potential sources of challenging youth behavior, they will reflect on their own practices and shift their approach to encourage positive behavior among youth, facilitate social and emotional development that builds on youth assets and supports pro-social behavior, and demonstrate use of research-based strategies for promoting positive behavior and redirecting negative behavior.
