Children are nested in the cultures of their families. So, to work most effectively with children, the early educator must build respectful and reciprocal relationships with families. The Family Engagement Platinum Badge supports teachers of young children in building family engagement in their programs. This Learning Path includes four courses – “Building Strong Relationships with Families,” “Engaging Families with Social Media,” “Family Engagement: The Road to Better Outcomes for Children”, and “Honoring All Families”. Teachers will apply their learning as they set goals, reflect on practices, and implement a special project.
