Upon completing this course, the participant will be able to: Describe actions to take when confronted with an active shooter/active killer and responding law enforcement officials. Recognize potential workplace violence indicators. Describe actions to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents. Describe how to manage the consequences of an active shooter incident. Prior Active Shooter events will be discussed. How to administer first aid to injured victims until medical personnel arrive. Workspaces will be evaluated to allow students the opportunity to mitigate risks and hazards. Training will consist of a blend of lecture, large group discussion, video and group activities, to include hands-on scenarios.
