Participants will be introduced to the knowledge, skills, and abilities most closely associated with kindergarten readiness. Through engaging activities and rich discussions, participants will examine strategies for documenting children's development and learning throughout the day. Participants will also analyze the four steps of the assessment cycle and learn how to use assessment data to inform instructional decisions. Finally, participants will learn how to use the GOLD® for KEA Survey to compare student's knowledge, skills, and abilities for each objective and dimension to widely-held expectations for students entering kindergarten.
