Summary
Young children make sense of the world through play and when educators understand the stages of play, they can more effectively support and extend learning. In this course, participants will explore the developmental stages of play and how they connect to key areas of growth, including cognitive, social and academic skills. Participants will also explore strategies for observing and documenting play-based learning to inform instruction, track developmental progress and communicate meaningful insights to families. This course provides early childhood professionals with practical tools to advocate for play as an essential part of Wonder of Learning.
