INTRODUCTION: • Start with a silly song (like Take Me Out of the Bathtub) • Introduce facilitators • Do a hello song • Share goals for the workshop – what do we want participants to walk away with? SHARE A BOOK THAT CAN BE SUNG (A Soup Opera, Green Grass Grew All Around, Baby Beluga, Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc.) Connect this book/song to the research component that follows…. For In person and longer workshops: Make a rhythm instrument activity. Individual teachers will be given various supplies to create a drum, guitar or a shaker (depending on supplies available at the moment) . BOOK SHARING TIME – Show and talk about an array of suggested library books related to music, musicians, books to sing, etc. QUESTIONS? CLOSE WITH A GOODBYE SONG
