Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) is a professional development model that has been tested and proven effective to increase practitioner use of a set of effective practices. Implementation of high-quality coaching leads to an improvement practitioner implementation of effective practices, which improves child outcomes (Snyder, Hemmeter, & Fox, 2015; Hemmeter, Snyder, Fox, & Aligina, 2016). This is and introduction to PBC designed for early childhood program coaches or program leadership planning to implement PBC within their program.
