This course is intended to help early childhood educators design and implement a comprehensive outdoor learning curriculum. The "outdoor classroom" provides limitless learning opportunities and should be considered an integral and essential component of an effective early childhood program. Outdoor play and exploration can promote learning across all developmental domains and help ensure overall health, fitness, respect for the environment, positive social relationships, and readiness in academic subjects including science, math, language arts, and much more. This course gives strategies for implementing an outdoor learning curriculum with a particular focus on gardening. Also, this training is available in Spanish.
