Part 1: In the first section of the training we will look at the early childhood setting as a whole as well as the basics of creating an environment and preparing it for children. We also learn about keeping a healthy and safe environment, regular safety checks, safety standards and practices and safety in regards to toys. Part 2: The next section of the training will look at the basics of the classroom, general storage, ideas for organizing to influence independence, creating a parent communication center, wall displays, how to divide up the areas of the classroom, learning centers, and themes. Part 3: The final section of the training addresses age appropriate environments and goes over creating an environment specific to infants, toddlers, and preschool age children. We will also look at technology in the classroom and what the pros or cons are to that.
