Every child is unique, so we need to have a variety of possibilities on hand when considering how to prepare our preschoolers for kindergarten. This course is not a “one size fits all” checklist of things every child should know. We emphasize the importance of preparing children with self-help skills and social/emotional skills along with other things. This course will help answer the questions: What are the important self-help skills to teach? What social/emotional skills should I help the children with? What are some areas of math to teach? Where should I start with reading readiness? How can I help with motor skills? Because the the course is online and self-paced, the activities are in the form of quizzes, videos, reflections and brainstorms.
