Review of guiding principles -- Working from a place of values and vision, building strong relationships, seeing and supporting strengths and competencies, and supporting professional learning in multiple ways. Group discussion. Examining Core Values -- Large Group activity of comparing classroom images (projected via PowerPoint) to determine values, and a review of the program's core values. Looking at the program through the Reggio lens and defining Constructionist Theory -- Examples of PLAY (video), EMERGENT CURRICULUM, DOCUMENTATION, REPRESENTATIVE SKILLS, TEACHERS AS RESEARCHERS, and THE ENVIRONMENT AS THE THIRD TEACHER using a variety of photos and stories. Discussion, What is Reflective Practice? Followed with a small group activity to practice critical reflection skills as groups of 4 to 5 are faced with an ethical dilemma presented to them.
