Part 1: In the first section of the training we explore emotional intelligence vs cognitive intelligence, why emotional intelligence is so important, and how emotional intelligence can impact behavior. Part 2: The next section of the training we discuss emotional intelligence and social interactions, social-emotional learning, education and emotional intelligence, and emotion in education. We will also look at the RULER method, supporting emotional intelligence and some scenarios. Part 3: The final section of the training will include literature supports for emotional intelligence and various lesson plans that help children identify emotions. Assessment: Our courses provide multiple points of assessment that include discussion boards with prompted questions and interaction with trainers and other providers. We also include open-ended questions reviewed by trainers and multiple choice quizzes with a required passing score of at least 80% or higher.
