Learning through Play is designed to be delivered face-to-face, to child care agency staff, by a child care director or experienced supervisor. The instruction, handouts, and required links for this training is being made available online for child care agency directors/supervisors to download and deliver at sites. The purpose of the training is for participants to learn how play is an integral part of young children’s growth and learning. Through experiential play in various child care play centers, participants will relive the experience of unrestricted play and discuss how the play relates to the types of play they see children demonstrate during various center time. During the facilitated discussion, the teachers will share examples of skills children learn during play.
